I would not doubt that it would fire it safely if you choose to do that but for liability sake I should say that you should have your gunsmith inspect it first. It locks up very tight and has a heavy but smooth trigger. This firearm is in excellent condition mechanically. ![]() No refinishing or tinkering around with it. It is definitely C&R eligible but I can't say for certain it is pre-1899 so I wouldn't classify it as an Antique.Īll numbers match. Serial numbers for this model ran from 1 (in 1888) to 91417 (in 1902) is and this one is number 85189 so we are estimating this to be around 1900-1901. And they fit the gun perfectly - no gaps or looseness. ![]() It has a 3" (not the 3-1/2") barrel and the Nickel finish which I would rate at about 80% This is an all-original Smith and Wesson Safety Hammerless top-break 5 shot revolver chambered in 32 S&W.
